MOSSLEY AFC have bolstered their squad with the double signing of FC Halifax Town defender Jack Bradley on loan and free agent Michael Thomas.

Centre-back Bradley, 18, has joined on a month-loan deal just weeks after signing his first professional contract with the managerless National League outfit.

Midfielder Thomas, 23, left Northwich Victoria earlier this month and returns to Seel Park having scored twice in 28 appearances during a loan spell in the 2010-11 season.

The Evo-Stik First Division North club have turned to new recruits to add further playing options after a dip in form over the past few weeks.

Bradley made his first-team debut for Halifax in December 2013 in a county cup match but was a regular for their Under-19s team as captain, having graduated through the Yorkshire club’s academy.

Mossley’s club website states that he is ‘considered to be a player with great potential’.

Manchester-born Thomas began his career at Macclesfield Town but only made 10 outings in two years at the Moss Rose before spells at Colywn Bay and, most recently, Leek Town.

The pair could be included in the matchday squad for this afternoon’s home match against Prescot Cables.

Peter Band and Lloyd Morrison’s team – who sit 13th in the eighth tier of English football with eight points from seven league games – are seeking to avoid a fifth successive defeat in all competitions.
