UNIVERSITY of Salford students with aspirations of becoming the host of Key 103’s new Friday night radio show can now record their demos in the state-of-the-art MediaCityUK studios.

Students can record their audition tapes using the professional TV studios and equipment at the MediaCityUK campus on Wednesday, October 7 or Thursday, October 8 between 5pm and 7pm.

To book 15 minute slots, e-mail f.ikram2@salford.ac.uk. Anyone over the age of 18 who is from the North West can apply but the closing date for entries is at midday on Sunday, October 11.

Auditions at the Key103 studios in Manchester will take place next week.

Listeners will be able to check out all the entries and support their favourite on social media.

The ‘Your Big Chance’ initiative launched last month as Key 103 – one of the biggest broadcasters in the UK – began the search for the best radio talent from across the region.

A group of expert judges from the world of media will make the final decision as to who gets the job – and the winner’s first live show will be broadcast on Friday, October 30.
For more information and details on how to submit, visit the Key 103 website.
