FOOTBALL Live provides non-league coverage from across Greater Manchester in our live blog, with reporters based at selected grounds bringing updates, reaction and match reports.

There are nine games kicking off at 3pm in the National League, National League North, Evo-Stik Premier Division and Evo-Stik First Division North, including two of our sides going head to head at Edgeley Park.

Despite Salford City in action against Hartlepool on Friday night and Altrincham facing Colchester on Sunday in the Emirates FA Cup second round, there’s plenty to keep you entertained this afternoon as the festive schedule begins in earnest.

Summary of today’s action:

–  Macclesfield Town are seeking a fifth straight league win to keep their play-off charge on track in the National League as they visit struggling Southport

–  Near neighbours Stockport County and FC United battle for a much-needed win in the National League North while Curzon Ashton host bottom-club Telford United and Stalybridge Celtic travel to fellow mid-table side Bradford Park Avenue

–  Ashton United welcome newly-promoted Sutton Coldfield Town to Hurst Cross and Hyde United make the trip to Halesowen Town in the Evo-Stik Premier Division

–  In the Evo-Stik First Division North: Droylsden are away to Ossett Town, Mossley host Brighouse Town and Trafford face Ossett Albion at Shawe View but Radcliffe Borough’s game against Farsley Celtic has been postponed because of a waterlogged pitch
