POLICE are appealing today after a cash machine was stolen from a hospital in Trafford.
Five people used an axe to force the ATM from the wall after attaching it to a white transit van with ropes.
The offenders then fled with the cash dispenser driving off in the van and a black VW Beetle.
The crime is thought to have taken place at around 10:30pm on Wednesday 25th November outside Trafford General Hospital on Moorside in Flixton.
Detective Sergeant Andy Darnton said: “I would appeal to anyone who may have been near to the clock tower entrance of the hospital and saw these two vehicles approach the cash machine to contact us. After the ATM was stolen, both drove off but we are unsure in which direction they went. If you witnesses anything that night, please call us.”
Anyone with information should phone police on 0161 856 7525 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
