• Back in time for Christmas – BBC2 – Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th December

This two part sees the return of the Robshaws who found fame earlier in the year as they travelled through the decades.

This time we see them travel through six decades to experience Christmas as it used to be known. In Monday night’s episode we see the 1940s, 1950s and the risqué 1960s before Tuesdays episode looks at the 1970s, 1980s, and the consumerism of the 1990s.

The 2006 Christmassy rom-com is back on our screens with Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet swapping their British/American lives over the Christmas period after suffering relationship troubles before the introduction of Jude Law and Jack Black turn their Christmas into one they may never forget.

 

  • The World’s Most Expensive Christmas – Channel 4- Tuesday 15th December

From lavish Christmas tree decorations including a £615,000 diamond-encrusted tree topper to car key filled crackers, this one off programme meets those suppliers and buyers who go above and beyond to make sure their super rich Christmas dreams come true.

 

  • Text Santa – LIVE!! – ITV1 – Friday 18th December

Phillip Schofield and a host of friends host this annual festive evening of fun and fundraising. Highlights including a special Coronation Street with a twist, Lord Grantham makes a tough decision in Downton Abbey and Ninja Warrior receives the star treatment.

 

  • Strictly Come Dancing – LIVE!! – FINAL – BBC1 – Saturday 19TH December

It’s the final and as the fourth-place couple exit the competition leaving the final three to battle it out in a trio of dances.

After all three couples have completed all their dances it will be up to the viewers to decide this year’s winner as the phone lines open.

 

  • Michael Buble’s Christmas Songbook – Channel 5 – Saturday 19th December

A seasonal special with a whole host of Christmas classics including Jingle Bell Rock, and Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas. Joining Mr Buble on stage is a selection of well-known celebrities including Rod Stewart and Carly Rae-Jepsen.

 

  • The Apprentice – FINAL!!! – BBC 1- Sunday 20th December

The two remaining candidates complete their final task for Lord Sugar, launching their own business including a brand and unveiling their campaign to an audience of 200 leading industry experts.

 

  • The John Bishop Christmas Show – BBC 1 – Monday 21st December

An all-dancing festive extravaganza held at the Lyceum Theatre in London’s West End.

Guests include Aussie bombshell Kylie Minogue, presenter Olly Murs, and comedian Sarah Millican.

 

  • Bafta Celebrates Downton Abbey – ITV1 – Monday 21st December

Jonathan Ross hosts a star studded event ahead of the ITV 1’s finale on Christmas Day. There are behind the scene interviews with cast and crew.

As well as a specially written sketch performed by Maggie Smith and Hugh Bonnerville.
