POLICE are appealing for witnesses in Ashton-under-Lyne after a man was seriously hurt in a collision.

The 66-year-old man was left in a critical condition when he collided with a white Ford Ka.

The crime took place shortly after 9.10am on Monday, November 14 on Old Cross Street.

Police Constable Peter Cunningham from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “We are really keen to speak to anyone who may have seen this collision.

“The man suffered a head injury and is in a critical condition. We are supporting the man’s family at this extremely distressing time and we are trying to piece together the circumstances surrounding this incident.”

Police are now investigating and are appealing for anyone who may have seen the collision to get in touch.
