THE RFL were at the AJ Bell stadium today (December 18) getting promo shots of the players for next season.
Quays News sport reporter Andie Riley was lucky enough to be invited in to catch Junior Sa’u as he posed for the cameras and prepared to be the face of the Devils, along with captain Tommy Lee.
Junior, whose wife is due to give birth to a baby girl in early February, said it’s been a very tough week in training.
“We had Monday off, but the staff crammed Monday’s session into Tuesday. Next time I’m offered a day off, I’ll say no!”
It’s all go in the Sa’u household, as the family are preparing to move home soon as well.
“It’s everything at once,” he told Quays News
“We’re either training, testing or doing promo work, but we’ve got 10 days off from Wednesday, so at least I can be with my family over the festive season.”
Also on duty for his head shots was captain Tommy Lee.
Tommy took one look at Junior’s shots and laughed: “He’s done this before.”
Before diving in and doing his Zoolander audition for the camera.
Also about today was club ambassador Adrian Morley, filming a piece to wish Kevin Sinfield good luck ahead of Sundays Sports personality of the Year awards.
“I’ve played alongside Kev and it’d be great to have a player from our sport finally win the trophy.”
It’s also all go in the Morley house as he gets used to being a new dad again.
“He (Baby Jonah) slept from 9.30 to 6am. We couldn’t believe it! He’s been keeping us up, but it’s worth it.”
