ON March 12, Victoria Warehouse plays host to Cosmosis Festival, an intergalactic journey through musical diversity, encompassing the best alternative acts from across the world.

The day festival, which boasts over 12 hours of live music, will celebrate its third birthday at Victoria Warehouse, leaving the smaller suburban setting of Antwerp Mansion and bringing 6000 party goers with it.

With five stages to choose from, suitably named Air, Water, Earth, Fire and Aether, fans can expect to hear sounds from across the spectrum and the festival’s most diverse line up yet, from shoe-gaze and low-fi fuzz to art-rock and punk.

Huge acts including The Jesus and Mary Chain and The Brian Jonestown Massacre will share stages with up and coming bands, an exciting prospect for attendees who want to experience something new at the festival.

Legendary band The Jesus and Mary Chain will headline Cosmosis’ biggest line up yet. The incredibly influential Scottish giants will grace the stage with an unmistakable presence, only expected from such a powerful rock band. Last September, the quintet announced they were working on their sixth studio album. The crowd are sure to be treated to fresh material and songs from their seminal records ‘Darklands’ and ‘Psycho Candy’.

The Brian Jonestown Massacre will play an exclusive set at the festival in the year of their 25th anniversary. The American Psychedelic heroes will headline the Air stage, enveloping the converted warehouse venue in echoes of their 14 studio albums and numerous EP’s released since the band’s formation in 1988.

The festival is a chance for younger newcomers to rub shoulders with the big draws. The eclectic line-up boasts the haunting sounds of Manchester based four-piece The Underground Youth, the So-Cal haze of The Allah-Las and the hypnotic sounds of moody noir favourites Lola Colt.

Festival goers can take a pause from the live music, as the festival hosts dj sets, art installations and talks throughout the day.

In addition, the psychedelic top note will disperse through the dozens of food, art and clothing stalls to be enjoyed from independent vendors.
