AS we all know the popular Christmas Markets are well underway, but Manchester has a wide range of festive fun for everyone this year.

1) Manchester’s London Road Fire Station: Ice Skating Rink and Markets

A magical ‘Winter Gathering’ festival where you can find an ice rink, plenty of bars and street food stalls will really get you in the Christmas spirit this year.

Situated just off Manchester Piccadilly station, there will also be a pop-up art gallery during the day, which will transform in to a party in the evening, with live music and DJ sets.

Open now until January 8 2017.​

2) Elf Themed Christmas Rave at Albert Hall

The Peter Street venue will be holding a giant party on December 17, from 7pm.

There will be a screening of the popular Christmas film Elf with a ‘rave along sing song’.

Plus, live music playing Christmas classics and festive food and drink will be on sale.

3) Winter Wonderland at EventCity

Situated next to the intu Trafford Centre, Winter Wonderland is the UK’s largest indoor Christmas theme park.

It is definitely one to visit this year! Starting from December 10 to January 1 2017, there is a variety of shows on offer, along with rides and amusements for the whole family.

4) Chitty Chitty Bang Bang: The Lowry Theatre

One of the world’s favourite musicals is coming to Salford Quays.

Adapted for the stage, the show will star comedian Jason Manford as Caractacus Potts and the show starts on December 6 right through until January 15.

5) Drive-in cinema, Christmas Special, at Old Trafford football ground​

Christmas classics such as Home Alone, The Muppet Christmas Carol and Elf will be shown on the giant screen.

The films will be transmitted through your vehicles FM Radio using the frequency on arrival.

The films will be shown on Wednesday, December 21 to Friday, December 23. ​
