Manchester Christmas Markets leave visitors in awe each time and this year is no exception. For five weeks, the award winning Christmas market will attract shoppers from all over the UK.
Nearly 350 festooned stalls and chalets are spanning 10 distinctive market sites around the city centre, the Christmas Markets being free and accessible for everyone.
Albert Square is one of the most famous Christmas market across Manchester and when people step into this fabulous place, they get themselves into the festive spirit by enjoying the international food and the famous mulled wine.
However, neither the handmade products miss. European and local producers offer everything from handcrafted leather bags, fine amber jewellery and delicately crafted gifts to framed photo prints, French soaps and handmade Belgian kitchenware. Here people can find everything they want or need.
The Christmas Markets are also for vegetarians, offering many choices that are mouth-watering, such Dutch mini pancakes and French profiteroles.
The European market on Albert Square the stalls were opened on the 10th of November and will up and running till the 21st of December.
The market places in Brazennose Street, St Ann’s Square, Exchange Street and Exchange Square, King Street, New Cathedral Street, Market Street and Cathedral Gardens are opened from 10am-7.30pm from November 10 and throughout the month untill the 1st of December till the 20th when they will be opened from 10am to 8pm.
All the market zones close on the 20th of December, excepting for Albert Square which traditionally is the final area to pack up, finishing a day later.
