SALE Sharks flanker Cameron Neild has revealed his aspirations of playing for England and the British and Irish Lions.
Neild said: “like any English player, I’d like to play for England and the Lions. That goes without saying.”
The 22-year- old has already gained representative honours for his country at under 16, 18 and 20 level.
If Neild was successful in receiving a call-up to the national side he would be adding to a family legacy of competing on the world stage, as his father, Colin, was a member of the Great Britain judo squad.
Neild also showed his commitment to the club, by stating that he intended to play for Sale Sharks for as long as he can.

Sale host Wasps at the AJ Bell on Sunday and Neild spoke about their preparation for the match: “Seeing the players they’ve got, obviously some dangerous players like Cipriani as we all know, especially all the Sale fans will do.”
He’s going to be a dangerous man to stop, so our intention is to stop him and score as many points as we can.”
Fly-Half Danny Cipriani made 76 appearances for Sale between 2012 and 2016 before returning to Wasps.
