Last night around 10:15pm shots were fired inside Living Room bar in Deansgate during a fundraiser raising money for The Christie hospital following the recent fire. Elliott Lancaster and Ellen Ward find out more.

A police investigation is being launched after two men on a motorbike fired three to five shots and then drove away on a motorbike.

One man has suffered with minor injuries but no more information has currently been released.

Bystanders jumped for cover with some diving under the tables to get away from the shots fired at the windows of the Living Room bar.

Deansgate has been cornered off with police tape and the forensic team are currently taking photos of furniture outside the club.

Police tape has been placed between the House of Fraser and Blackfriars Street, stopping anyone from entering the area of Deansgate.

Police are also surrounding the area and have evacuated the bars and shops close by.

This ‘major incident’ is only two years after a shooting that happened at the Living Room which was also by two men on a motorbike.

Many of the public have gone to twitter to let people know what has happened.
