Sculptures of endangered animals have been put up in MediaCityUK for a limited time to raise awareness for their survival.

The interesting pieces are part of an awareness campaign by Quays Culture called ‘Unnatural Borders’ to bring attention to the endangered species.

It is hoped that the pieces will attract attention and get people talking about wildlife, despite the urban environment in which the pieces are shown.

The art installations consist of a polar bear, red squirrel, bumblebee and blue whale; are fully white, and cut into geometric shapes.

Between the hours of 9pm and 11pm, a series of shifting light shows using projection mapping technology are cast onto the sculptures to give them life.

The sculptures are on display until May 29.
