A Salford church has celebrated its annual Christmas fair by raising funds to support the homeless.
St Thomas’ Church, Pendleton, has been running its annual Christmas fair for over 50 years.
This year they were joined by charity Joint Veteran Alliance who support veterans and vulnerable adults that are sleeping rough in the city.

The Christmas fair took place on Saturday, November 18 from 11am till 2pm inside of the church.
The stalls were run by the team rector and parish Priest, Reverend Daniel Burton and the team assistant curate, Reverend Caroline Hewitt as well as the regular church goers.
Reverend Caroline Hewitt said: “The event was really well attended, when we opened our doors at 11 o’clock people were coming in, they were queuing. We were really busy early on.
“We were really pleased, it had a really good atmosphere. Father Christmas was here throughout and gave children sweets and the children were really happy about that. So it was good, really good.”
The Christmas fair raised over £1100 and was deemed a success.
The money raised will also go towards the running of future fairs and events. It will also support the general maintenance of the church.
The Christmas fair had a range of stalls from raffles and tombolas to book and jam stores.
The church holds many different events and clubs during the year including a veterans breakfast club, a Wednesday lunch club and a weekly raffle.
