Last year’s G-Festival was as much of a success as the rest, with thousands of people turning up for performances by The Total Stone Roses and Small Weller.

David Lindsay, PR for Georgia’s Children of The World, said:

“The day is a real family day. Before the bands we are starting with a live Flamenco Show – really powerful if you haven’t been to one. We had Irish dancers last year and the kids loved it.

“We have loads going on in terms of fairground rides, petting zoos, glitter painting, etc. There is music going on, but after we do a little presentation on the charity around tea time, the place goes full on music festival and we really go for it. We tend to finish with a Manc Disco in the main marquee.”

Georgia’s Children of the World was set up in remembrance of Georgia Louise Murray who was born with a complicated heart condition that took her life during her third open-heart surgery in November 2010, aged just 19.

Since her death, her father Steve Murray has set up  ‘Georgia’s House campaign’. In just five years, the charity has opened five houses supporting the education and development of underprivileged children in Cambodia, Romania and Salford.

Steve has recently written a song dedicated to Georgia performed by Jennifer Rice which will take place at G-Festival 2018 following the balloon release in memory of Georgia and all who have loved and lost.

So, get your tickets and head on down for a fun-filled day and night, all for a good cause!
