Salford have another international representative to keep an eye on now, as Manchester City youngster Nathanael Ogbeta represents the England under-17 team.
The Salford-born, 17-year-old defender has played every minute of the Young Lions’ opening two matches at the 2018 UEFA European Under-17 Championship, being hosted by England this year.
Manager Steve Cooper’s side won their opening match 2-1 against Israel, before coming from behind to beat Italy by the same scoreline in their most recent game.
All of England’s matches in the tournament, as well as all games past the quarter-finals, are being broadcast in partnership with ITV.

England’s Young Lions face Switzerland on Thursday in Rotherham in their next match, looking to make it three wins from three.
Ogbeta has also represented England at under-16 level.
Domestically, the young defender has also been a key part of Manchester City’s under-18 side this season, having been named captain of the side at the start of the season.
Under his captaincy, the under-18s side has registered 5-0 and 6-1 wins against Blackburn Rovers and Everton respectively.
Manchester City’s under-18s finished second in the Under-18 Premier League this season, behind rivals Manchester United. They also competed in the Youth Champions League.

Ogbeta joins an exclusive club of Salford residents in having represented England at any international level, including senior-capped players Paul Scholes and Stan Pearson.
Scottish international Phil Bardsley and Republic of Ireland international Scott Hogan also hail from Salford.
