People have been travelling to experience the a variety of bee sculptures in Manchester and Salford.

The Bee in the City is an event lasting until September 23 that sees a multitude of giant bees and mini bees spread across the areas of Manchester.

It incorporates the works of artists and sponsors who design and decorate a plain model of the bee and showcase them around the city.

People are embracing the bees as a positive stand since the arena attack last year.

The event includes a trail that invites people to visit more than 100 giant bees across the city.

Josh Russell, who was on a family visit to Manchester, said: “The bee in the city trail for the summer holidays is a great way to keep the little people busy.”

“I was observing people doing it and people seemed to be enjoying it very much.”

There are seven Salford bees in total, located in MediaCityUK, which have proven to be very popular, with three giant bees and four mini bees spread out in the area.
