The Victoria – an iconic office block in Salford Quays – is to undergo a £9 million refurbishment.

The renovations that involve a modern styling will be spearheaded by the Peel Land and Property group.

Manager Tim Taylor, who is overseeing the project, said:

“It will have a positive impact for all who work there. It’s a modern design and will give the whole place a whole new outlook. It is a complete rethink.

“We came to the conclusion that modern developed work spaces need to meet the modern attitudes of the people that work in these places.”

The newly designed offices, which will be re branded as “The Vic”, are expected to be completed by March 2019.

The new design includes a gym, where workers can exercise before or after work, as well as outdoor green spaces, which can be used as work stations during the summer. All of this will be in the backdrop of the Salford Quays waterside, which makes a scenic work place.

Mr Taylor is keen to use the outdoor space on the water as an advantage.

He said: “We have added little coffee bars and outdoor WiFi. All of these make it a brilliant place to work in the outdoors, which is perfect for those summer days.

“There isn’t really anywhere else in Greater Manchester that will have these facilities.”
