Worsley Woods are raising money to rebuild their children’s adventure playground after it was deemed unsafe to use.
After the adventure play area failed its annual safety inspection last year, the playground now needs to be rebuilt.
The play area had been standing for ten years. However it had finally reached the end of its lifespan after years’ fun for parents and children.
The area had been deemed unsafe after the wood had begun rotting following a decade of wear and tear.

Worsley Woods is 30 hectares of woodland located in the village of Worsley.
It is walk-able from the historical Bridgewater Canal and forms part of Worsley Village Heritage Trail.
The work to replace the playground will be completed by the Council, who will also be working with Worsley Woods Action Group.
The Worsley Woods Action Group are aiming to raise £10,000 which will contribute to the estimated £30,000 it is going to cost to rebuild.
Worsley Woods Action Group are a group that aims the conserve and grow the wonderful plants and creatures in the woods. To make it a place where all can visit and explore.
Bethan Pickup who donated to the Just Giving page commented: “Great cause. We need a variety of outdoor facilities for our children as a healthy alternative to screen various”.
Lesley Gardner who also donated commented: “This is a great cause- hoping we raise the necessary funds to get the park back up and running”.
