Salford City have asked their own fans to decide the National League’s club’s kit for next season, which could be their first in the Football league.

Ahead of the side’s Play Off final against AFC Fylde at Wembley on Saturday the Ammies took to social media to share three potential designs with supporters.

Fans could then vote for their favourite with the winning design understood to be announced after the final game of the season.

‘Kit B’, a red strip with a single white vertical stripe slightly off-center, seems to be the early front runner with fans calling it “distinct” and “unique”.

Salford City fan Alex Hirst told Salford Now: “My personal favourite for next season would definitely be ‘Kit B’, it’s different and unique and it definitely gives Salford its own look.”

‘Kit A’ is a plain red design similar to the non-league club’s strip for this term while ‘Kit C’ sports a red chessboard effect.

“To be honest, I think kits A and C are quite boring really,” added Mr Hirst, “They’re quite like every other kit, ‘Kit A’ especially is very plain.”

Voting for next season’s design closed last Saturday although all those involved with Salford City can be forgiven for being slightly distracted as the Greater Manchester club prepares for the National League Play Off final which will see the winner promoted to the football league.
