Sainsbury’s customers were left disappointed this morning after a £50 Dyson vacuum cleaner was nowhere to be seen in the Regent Road store in Salford.

News of the deal spread quickly across social media and customers nationwide rushed to their local Sainsbury’s, some queuing for hours, to get their hands on the bargain

Stuart Angus, a resident in Salford, took to Twitter after visiting the Sainsbury’s Regent Road store this morning

Stuart commented

“Where the electrical sign is, all the dysons were there not that long ago. So are they hiding them or have they moved them to another store? They’ve had dysons there for years and now randomly they aren’t there”

Stuart was among many customers confused and frustrated today after feeling misled by the supermarket brand, which has recently become a conglomerate with household name Argos

We received the following response from Sainsbury’s when asked to comment:

“A small number of stores have reduced some Dyson models to clear a very small amount of residual stock. We are sorry for any disappointment this may cause.”

According to a post by HotUKDeals, a leaked document from Sainsbury’s claims:

‘To clear the remaining stock from Depot and Stores, we have actioned price to clear on the following lines from Wednesday 16th’

Sainsburys’ twitter account received an influx of furious customers who had gone out of their way to snap up the deal, only to be left empty handed
