Salford local elections.

Polling stations have just closed and the exit polls have just been released.

Voters have been heading to the ballots from 7am to 10pm across the town, with Salford split into three constituencies; Salford and Eccles, Worsley and Eccles South, and Blackley and Broughton.

Across the country, it has been released that the Conservatives will hold a majority, with 368 seats to Labour’s 191.

The Liberal Democrats are at 13, SNP are at 55, and the Brexit Party lies at 0.
