A 34-year-old Salford man has been charged with a terror offence in Manchester.
Ataubaq Taj, Hacking Street, Cheetwood, has been charged with one offence under Section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000 which relates to the possession of a document or record likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism.
Officers from Counter Terrorism Police North West executed an arrest warrant at an address in Salford on Wednesday 8 January 2020 and arrested a 34-year-old man on suspicion of a terrorism offence.
He has been conditionally bailed but will appear before the Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday 10 February 2020.
