A ‘must-see’ play about the effects of knife crime with a team to help answer any questions is coming to Salford this week.

Salford based production company, Up ‘Ere Productions and the Broughton Trust will be performing a play about knife crime and its effects, ‘#GetHelp’, on Thursday the 20th February, starting at 5pm at Salford Arts Theatre.

Written by the multi-talented, John O’ Neill, this play is designed to help, inspire and educate its audience with very community inclusive ticket prices as under 18’s have free entry and adults will pay just £1.

O’Neill tweeted about his play: “I wrote this play over a year ago and the fact it is still out there doing things amazes me.

“The conversations it raises and the impact it has on young people are inspiring.”

After the performance there will be a Q&A session with the #GetHelp Team.

With knife crime seemingly on the rise, as recorded by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), especially amongst vulnerable people including youths, this play is still of importance and relevance as it echoes the current violent troubles within our society and the effects it has on people’s lives.
