The Salford Red Devils Foundation are continuing to serve their local community amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

Teaming up with Salford City Council, the NHS and Rugby League Cares, the foundation have provided some much need help for the vulnerable members of the community.

Foundation Manager, Neil Blackburn said: “Rugby league has been at the heart of the City of Salford for over 100 years, providing entertainment and support to its amazing community.

“We’re a community club and at this worrying and uncertain time for everyone, we need to ensure that we remain focussed on supporting and providing help to those in need wherever possible.”

At a time when then the coronavirus pandemic is putting a huge strain on the local community, the foundation are urging Salfordians to help in any way they can. Blackburn also donated blood and if anybody is in a position to do so too, they can schedule an appointment at blood.co.uk

Residents struggling or in need of assistance are encouraged to reach out and contact the Spirit of Salford hotline on 0800 952 8000.

Alternatively, if you know somebody who would benefit from a quick phone call, please email their name and contact number to: john.blackburn@srdfoundation.co.uk.
