Salford City FC travel to The EnviroVent Stadium this week as they take on Simon Weaver’s Harrogate Town.

The Ammies will be looking to turn their fortunes on the road as with five defeats, one draw and just one solitary victory, they are one of the worst performing away sides in League Two this season.

It will be a battle of two sides with differing fortunes at the moment.

Salford are currently down amongst the relegation scrap, whilst Harrogate know a win could take them as high as second.

Harrogate have tasted defeat at home just once all campaign and will certainly be a tough nut to crack for Gary Bowyer’s men.

City have won four of their last five games against this weekends’ opposition.

Bowyer was critical of his side after their disappointing draw with Scunthorpe last time out and will be hoping for a reaction this weekend.

He said: “We were nowhere near the standard of what we expect compared to what we have produced this season.”

Key forward Ian Henderson has been missing in recent weeks, and they will hope that he is back for the trip to Harrogate.

For Harrogate, Will Smith and Rory McArdle are set to be absent.

However, former Salford player Luke Armstrong could be in line to start against his former club.

A win will move Salford eight points clear of the relegation zone and give them some much needed breathing space from the teams below.
