Spend a night in Salford with the legendary Bez this Christmas!

MCR Rocks are back again with an amazing night they have planned for the 11th December, the one and only Mark Berry who is better known as Bez from the Happy Mondays will be at the Pendlebury Social Club dancing the night away behind the decks.

This will be one of Bez’s first ever Salford event’s and he’s looking forward to coming back to his roots.

Bez commented: “I’m looking forward to my hometown Christmas gig with my son Arlo and the lads from MCR Rocks.

“Will be great to see faces, old and new… See you at the front.”

Vince Vega is a part of the team that runs MCR Rocks and toured the world with the Happy Monday’s as their DJ.

Alongside Paul Eden, Vince set up MCR Rocks with intentions of finding new local artists to set up alongside other more established acts at the events they host. In hope of getting them more exposure, whilst also giving them a stage to perform on. An opportunity that they might never have had otherwise.

Vince said: “The event on the 11th is like a homecoming for Bez, whilst also celebrating Manchester music.

“Bez does a lot in Manchester but Salford is a hometown gig for him.”

Bez’s Son DJ Arlo Berry will be DJ’ing on the night as well as DJ sets from local legend DJ Paul ‘Ezi’ Eden and DJ Vince Vega.

Vince commented: “Arlo has been DJ’ing with Bez for a while now, he’s a really good DJ in his own right. It’s nice having a father son duo act.

“I was his DJ for many years whilst they toured the world. Then Arlo took over when he got a bit older, now they tour around as father and son.

“They have a great bond and it really comes through on stage.

“I remember Arlo being taken on stage in the 90’s at the MEN arena as a young boy, a tiny young lad. So, he’s seen this his whole life and grew up with it.”

Vince has also shared some of his experiences whilst touring with the band and why he’s so passionate about keeping the Manchester music scene alive:

Tickets for the event are available here, and you can also buy them at the bar from The Pendlebury Social Club.
