The Black Friar in Salford has opened its new garden bar to the public.

After keeping the citizens of Salford cosy all winter with award-winning chef Ben Chaplin’s AW21 menu, the pub and restaurant is ready for the summer.

After launching exclusively for local residents last weekend, the all new Black Friar Garden Bar is now open to the public. The bar and outdoor kitchen will be open every day the sun shines, Tuesday-Sunday.

Having teamed up with local purveyors of fine spirits Didsbury Gin, the Black Friar Garden Bar features an exclusive artisanal gin menu to enjoy – alongside all the usual Black Friar offerings. Think classic + signature gin cocktails, cooling spritzers and bigger concoctions to share. Quintessentially English (just in time for Jubilee weekend)!

Having wowed the foodie scene in their exquisite restaurant, award-winning Chef Ben Chaplin and his team turn their attention outdoors to bring people a totally different Black Friar experience.

Owner and Operator Neil Burke says: “We have arguably the best beer garden in Manchester. A beautiful green space, it’s ideal for kicking back and enjoying being outside. This new bar and more casual food offering is an exciting addition to the garden, and means we can welcome even more people to join us at the Black Friar. Whether for a drink, a nibble, a full meal, or a private party – we just can’t wait to show off this beautiful new space!”
