MANCHESTER turned out in force on Friday (October 28) evening to welcome The Great British Bake Off 2016 finalists Candice Brown, Jane Beedle and Andrew Smyth to the Trafford Centre Waterstones.
Thirty-one-year-old PE teacher Candice Brown edged just ahead of Jane Beedle and Andrew Smyth to win the final series aired on the BBC.
But not to worry, there were no hard feelings between the group when they reunited in Manchester to take part in a recipe book tour following the conclusion of the series on Wednesday.
Following on from two other signings in London and Birmingham, the three home bakers stopped in the Trafford Centre store to sign and take pictures with over 100 fans who, had been queuing to congratulate them since the early afternoon.

The new recipe book features some of the baker’s own family recipes alongside the classics and favourite technical challenges from this series – it means any one really could become the next Star Baker.
Could the next Great British Bake Off winner be from the North West?
With the cakes on offer this evening, I’m not counting it out.
The next series will move to Channel 4 with plenty of speculation as to who will replace co-hosts Mel and Sue, along with co-judge Mary Berry.
