BRITISH rapper Stormzy performed hits such as “Big for Your Boots” and “Shut Up” for thrilled fans whilst promoting his debut album, “Gang Signs and Prayers”, at Manchester United’s famous ground.

The debut album from the 23-year-old Grime star is currently sitting at number 1 in the iTunes charts, and is gunning for the number 1 album in the country in the end of week charts.

Whilst signing copies of “Gang Signs & Prayers”, he sat by United’s EFL Cup, won by the Reds last Sunday after a 3-2 victory against Southampton at Wembley.

Before heading to the signing at Old Trafford, Stormzy visited the training ground to meet the likes of United captain Wayne Rooney and striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The south London rapper is a massive Manchester United fan and a friend of Paul Pogba, the club’s star midfielder. Back in August 2015, a leaked video for Adidas featuring Stormzy and Pogba prematurely revealed his return to Manchester United for a record £89 million.

Standing at the front of the queue, Stormzy fan, Joe Powell, 21, said: “I love the new album; some of it is different to your typical grime.

“I’m getting him to sign my Pogba shirt. To be a United fan and know Stormzy is one as well is fantastic.”

At the Brits Awards last month, Stormzy, who was nominated for the British Breakthrough Act award, joined Ed Sheeran on stage to perform a guest verse on Sheeran’s new single, Shape of You. Their collaborated version is currently number 1 in the iTunes singles chart.

The following day, it was revealed that Stormzy will be performing at Parklife Festival on Sunday, June 11 at Heaton Park.

Stormzy will also be touring the UK from March to May, performing a sold out show at Manchester Academy on Friday, April 7.
