CP North West begin their debut season in the Cerebral Palsy Sport National CP Football League in Nottingham this weekend and are looking for Salford players and coaches to join them.
The team is made up of various experienced footballers and some new faces.
Jamie Pratt, CP North West coach and player, said: “A few us were part of a previous team for three or four years. We were successful, won quite a lot, and then it was time to move on and create another platform for new players to get them involved.
“Hopefully, we can find some people in and around the Salford area. We want to continue our previous successes with the original players and then grow the squad with new fresh faces to give them the opportunities we’ve had ourselves over the years.”
CP North West hope to grow considerably in their first season after receiving a grant of over £2,500 from the National Lottery Awards for All.

The team has also been nominated for the Aviva Community Fund which is worth £10,000, this would fund two years of football.
Jamie said: “We need to establish more numbers, grow the adult team and then next year if we can get more coaches involved, more interest and more exposure, we will look to create U16’s and youth teams as well.”
The Cerebral Palsy Sport National CP Football League has fixtures every Saturday morning, and the teams take part in a cup competition at the end of the season.
The season culminates with the Disability Cup Final taking place between the cup winner and league winner at the England national training facility, St Georges Park, alongside a final for amputee football teams and blind football teams.
CP North West have a cerebral palsy England international in the ranks, Jordan Twiss, which they hope will give them an edge over the season.
Jamie spoke about Jordan’s presence at the club, “He’s a good person to have around and involved in the club with the ability that he has and that he can bring to help develop players.”
CP North West train on Saturday morning’s from 10am to 12pm at Salford Sports Village, their first league fixtures of the season take place on 27th October in Nottingham.
The team are looking for male and female cerebral palsy footballers to join their ranks, along with coaches to help grow and lead the team to success.
