This Saturday 24th November, St Ann’s Hospice in Little Hulton, Salford, will host its annual Christmas fundraising fair.

St Ann’s Hospice, located on Meadowsweet Lane, Little Hulton, will host a festive event with activities including Santa’s Grotto, gift stalls to do some Christmas shopping, with some festive entertainment in between a mice pie and a mulled wine.

The money raised from the event will go straight towards the hospice in caring for its patients.

According to Anne-Marie Wynne, Head of Fundraising at St Ann’s, “We only get around a third of our funds from the NHS and this would cover a very basic service.”

This means that St Ann’s must raise £20,000 per day to keep its doors open.

All of their services are completely free of charge, so St Ann’s Hospice relies heavily on donations and fundraising events like this one.

The event will begin at 12 noon until 3pm. An entry fee of £1 is required for adults, but children get in for free.

If you can’t make the event, there are other ways to get involved with the hospice. They have shops located in Walkden, Heald Green, Little Hulton and Monton and some other outside of Salford, too.
