Salford university held its winter graduation on Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th December.

Wednesday’s ceremony was for three classes from the school of Health & Society.

Thursday’s ceremony included graduates from over five different majors including; Environment & Life Sciences, Built Environment, Computing, Science & Engineering, Arts and Media and  Business.

The university held stands for the graduates to get free T-shirts with all their names engraved at the back, alongside a gift bag which included vouchers, one t-shirt each and leaflets with advice for the next step now that the students have graduated.

Near the stands there was also a huge screen with the video of the graduation playing where the newly graduates were watching themselves receiving their diploma.

There was also a lion mascot going around getting pictures with the students which made the whole experience more fun for everyone that attended.

Students found the stands to have made their graduation experience enjoyable.

Kaysha Hart said: “It makes it more memorable and its a nice way to finish our journey at Salford, the whole graduation experience goes so fast and you don’t really get to take it all in so the fact that there was our ceremony recorded and we can look back at it is really cool and we got freebies which is definitely the best part.”

Alongside the freebies there was also a stand that offered customised T-shirts, teddy bears, hoodies and mugs for the graduates to purchase. This was a little something that added a personal touch as a memorable gift.
