An evening Q and A session starring Cold Feet and Coronation Street stars John Thomson and Chris Gascoyne will be held at Salford Lads Club to raise money for the venue’s youth activities.

John Thomson and Chris Gascoyne, who met on the set of BBC’s New Street Law in 2006, will be sharing anecdotes and tales from across their careers and friendship.

Cold Feet meets the Street, which takes place on Saturday February 23, will allow fans to discover more about the actors and pose their own questions.

As well as watching the Q and A, visitors can explore the rich history of the lads club including the Wall of Names, the world famous Smiths Room and of course a chance to check out the merchandise. Visitors may also take the chance to recreate the infamous Stephen Wright image of The Smiths outside the club from their album The Queen is Dead.

Money raised from the event will be put towards the youth activities held at the club which include camping, sports and crafts. The club relies on volunteers to run these events which are attended by around 150 youngsters every week.

Organisers hope the event will rival the success of the In Conversation Q&A event held in September featuring Manchester music legends Peter Hook and Mani. The sold out event allowed fans to ask the musicians about their shared love of Manchester United, what life is like as a successful musician and their childhood and upbringing among many other things.

Thomson and Gascoyne are perhaps most recognisable for their roles in some of the most popular TV shows in Britain.

Thomson started his acting career on Spitting Image where he worked with fellow Manchester born actor and friend, Steve Coogan. Since then he has appeared in many successful shows, one of his most recognisable being as Pete Gifford in the Manchester-based sitcom Cold Feet.

Soap fans will recognise Chris Gascoyne as Coronation Street’s bad boy Peter Barlow. Gascoyne joined the cobbles in 2000.

The event starts at 8pm at Salford Lads Club on February 23. Advanced tickets for the event will cost £12/£15 on the door. Tickets can be accessed by clicking this link.
