This year, a brand new VIP Tent will be introduced, in collaboration with Absolut, Four Sis4ers and Seven Bro7hers. Tickets for this cost £20 (subject to booking fee) and can be bought here.

Those who opt for a VIP ticket will receive free food, their first three drinks provided, a meet and greet with the main stage acts, as well as guaranteed entry to the official after party. This is hosted in partnership with the University of Salford Students’ Union bar: Atmosphere.

The after party is also free, but ticketed due to limited numbers. Tickets can be claimed here to guarantee entry.

Presented by resident Drag Queen Venus, and regular Gaydio host Joe Wilmot, the Official After Party will play host to local LGBT DJs and Gay Village residents such as Dave Dullage, Bex Hill and Gaydio star: Kriss Herbert. Ariana Grande Tribute act Melissa T will also be performing at the event.

The Pink Picnic first began in 2011, started by an LGBT customer focus group to celebrate the LGBT+ community. Despite expecting only a dozen people to show, the picnic attracted 120 people on the day. It was then decided that the picnic would become an annual event.

Seven years later, Pink Picnic 2018 welcomed over 3,000 visitors.
