A man has been charged following three dating app related attacks cross Greater Manchester, including an attempted carjacking and stabbing in Salford.

David Aroge, 21, of Holden Drive, Swinton has been charged with three counts of robbery, three counts of possession of a bladed article and one count of section 18 assault.

This follows the news on Tuesday night that a man had been taken to hospital and treated for stab wounds in salford. It was later revealed that the man was the victim of an attempted car jacking as a result on an online dating app meeting.

The attack occurred on Bolton road in Pendlebury.

The attack was linked to two other similar attacks in Greater Manchester in the same week.

He has been remanded in to custody to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Friday 29 March 2019.
