Greater Manchester Police have confirmed that a male in his 20s remains in hospital for treatment after being shot in the leg in Salford. 

The shooting took place on Boundary Road at around 11pm last night, with a police scene in place on Barton lane.

At around 10.50pm on Wednesday 3 April 2019, police were called by the North West Ambulance Service to Boundary Road in Irlam to a report that a man had been shot.

Specialist officers attended and a man in his 20s was taken to hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg. He remains in hospital for treatment.

No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
