After a short closure the newly renovated Lowry Vue Cinema has reopened its doors.

The cinema is now one of three in Greater Manchester to offer reclining leather seats in every screen. Another new addition to the cinema is The Edit Bar which serves both hot and cold refreshments.

Cinema snacks, such as popcorn, nachos and hotdogs are still on offer, however cinema goers can now choose from a range of premium spirits, wines and champagne for refreshment during their visit.

Darren Tinsley, General Manager of Vue Lowry, said: “The new leather recliner seats really enhance the big screen viewing experience, and we’re incredibly pleased to see the progress being made.

“We’re excited to welcome our guests to relax, unwind and enjoy the best in big screen entertainment for just £7.99!”

Luckily for film buffs the reopening of the cinema came at just the right time, with the reopening occurring only six days before the premiere of the most anticipated film of the year, Avengers: Endgame.

The opening night was as action packed as the film itself, with fans attending the midnight screening to ensure that they could escape inevitable spoilers on social media.

Plans for a £13 million update to The Lowry Outlet were released in 2016, The revamp of Vue is just the start of the development. The update will also see improvements made to shop fronts, escalators and an extension to the food court.

The Lowry Vue Cinema is open everyday from 10am until 3am.
