Fans were left devastated on Monday after Andrew Whyment, who plays Kirk Sutherland in Coronation Street, appeared to be left out of this I’m A Celeb year’s line-up.

After weeks of speculation, the 38-year-old from Atherton was all but confirmed to be heading down under until he was apparently pulled at the last minute. However, ITV have since confirmed two further stars will be entering the jungle, with the Salfordian heavily rumored to be back in the fold Since these recent reports have come out this morning, fans of the actor have been relishing the chance to catch the Salfordian on their screens every evening.

Fans originally took to Twitter to express their anger in Andrew initially being snubbed from the show:

Salford Now spoke to a Coronation Street and Royal Family super fan who said she can’t wait to see the real side of Andrew:

“I’m really looking forward to it!” she said.

“I’m looking forward to seeing what he’s like in person, because obviously he plays this certain type of character. I’ve got a feeling that he’s going to be quite funny. “I think if people can get to know who he really is then he can definitely win!”
