Believe it or not, Salford provides us with plenty of pudding places, perfect for Pancake Day on Tuesday.

There’s certainly no need to trek into Manchester city centre. Anyway, cut the waffle:

  1. Frankie and Bennie’s Breakfast Pancakes at Salford Quays

As part of their breakfast menu, this well known Italian chain restaurant is providing the goods, with pretty much everything you could ask for: on top of a pancake.

2. Chiquito’s build your own pancakes

Oh crepe! I would definitely say £5.99 is a good deal to put whatever you want on your delicious breakfast pancake. Also situated centrally in Salford Quays, you should have no problem with getting there with all the public transport in that area.

3. Cafe Rouge, Media City

This french, stylish cafe is a relaxing location to spend you pancake morning with a partner. Did you know, their main menu is also 2 for 1 with a valid Tastecard?

Next, on a budget?

4. Lidl, Fitzwarren Street.

Lidl are providing six fresh Pancake Day recipes which you can make at home. All products can be found in-store for very little price!

Nothing stacks up to that. And finally, not a fan of sweet pancakes?

5. Pacifica, Cantonese restaurant’s crispy duck pancakes

If you’re lacking a sweet tooth, there’s always the option of going out for a Chinese. Keep in the Pancake Day spirit by heading down to Pacifica.

Served with hoison sauce and salad, their pancake appetiser is priced at £11.95.

Street view by Google Earth.

Many of us are excited for the day.

Finally, did you know the world’s BIGGEST pancake was made here in Greater Manchester in 1994?

Hopefully yours won’t be that big next week.
