Band Hurray For Tuesday are set to release a new single on March 13th.
The band from Greater Manchester describe themselves as psych-pop, stating that they “fuse the 80s goth-pop of The Cure with the 2000s neo-psychedelia of MGMT”.
They consist of five members, Sean Stott (song writer, keyboardist and backing vocalist), Harry Lyle (Lead guitarist), Abby Carroll (vocalist and guitarist), Garfieh Cheung (drummer) and James Highland-Partington (bassist).
Harry and Abby both attend The University of Salford, with Harry studying music and Abby studying sociology.
Hurray For Tuesday has played at many venues such as Manchester’s Factory and Aatma, not forgetting Salford’s very own The Old Pint Pot back in November.
They are playing next at Manchester’s The Deaf Institute on March 22nd.

The single is called ‘Where The Wind Blows’ and the recording for it was complete in a two day session at St Helen’s Catalyst Recording Studios.
Sean Stott describes the single as, “a statement of intent for the band, not only in sound but also in lyrical themes.
“The sound of the song is finally one that we all can call wholly unique and our own; although taking cues from the likes of Arcade Fire and even the Tornadoes, the full piece sounds nothing like anything else out there currently.
“The song also deals with themes that I don’t ever really see touched on in our current musical landscape, with themes of city life inducing anxiety and depression and providing a mantra to aid in doing anything to break out of the monotony of it all.”
