Four major TV channels fought it out on the waters of Salford Quays today for Sport Relief.
Teams from the four television channels BBC, ITV, Sky and Channel 4 all competed against each other to claim the title of the fastest channel on water.
Over the last few years, the Clash of Channels race has taken place in Salford Quays, but with only the BBC and ITV originally involved.
Under the wings of former Olympic champions James Cracknell OBE and Helen Glover OBE, celebs such as Jamie Lang and Steve Backshall all took part to try and win the coveted trophy for their teams.
Despite the very strong gusts of winds pushing against all boats, all teams were neck to neck up until the last few metres, when the winning team Channel 4 stormed ahead of the rest.
The Race is part of several challenges that have occurred over the past several weeks, with them all leading up to the Televised Sport Relief programme on Friday 13th March.
Similar to the last marathon programme back in 2018, Sports Relief is taking place live from dock10 studies in Mediacity, Salford.
Gary Lineker and Paddy McGuiness will be returning alongside a lineup of stars to present the several hours of programming. With a total of £38.2 million raised two years ago, Sports Relief is aiming to smash this target through a range of fundraising events.
Available to watch on BBC One from 7 pm, the programme will also feature special sketches from shows such as Line of Duty and Killing Eve. As well as this, comedians such as Catherine Tate and Matt Lucas will be returning to reprise their well-loved characters.
