A JustGiving page has been set up in order to fund £3,000 to replace the stolen Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) from an NHS community base in Salford.

Sandringham House was found ransacked on Sunday morning with the robber also apparently causing damage to a nearby building.

Casey Procter, the starter of the fundraiser, said that he started the page as ”Salford Royal Hospital have done a lot for friends and family” and that felt ”sick to his stomach and outraged at the actions of some very horrible people.”

The fundraiser already stands at halfway past its target after a generous £1,000 was donated by local business, GPS Skip Hire.

Wayne Parish, of GPS Skip Hire, said that, ”we do a fair bit of work for Salford Royal Hospital and have a lot of friends we know work there. So we were always willing to lend a hand with whatever but when we saw this despicable incident this morning we as a company just wanted to help replace the stolen PPE so all the brave staff at Salford Royal can be a bit safer.”

The money aims to fund PPE and respiratory filters to give back to the hospital who are in vital need of them.
