A man has been charged after a teenage boy was stabbed in the leg in Salford.

Christopher Davies, of Bartholomews Drive, Salford, has been charged with one count of section 18 assault; possession of an offensive weapon in a public place; possession of a bladed article in a public place.

He has been remanded in custody and appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

Police were called at around midday last Wednesday 24 June to reports of a teenage boy being stabbed in the leg on Rudman Drive in Salford.

The boy sustained a serious leg wound but has since been discharged from hospital.
