Salford’s season gets into full swing on Friday night as they travel to Castleford with both new coaches Paul Rowley and Lee Radford looking to start their campaigns with a win.
The Red Devil’s and the Tigers have been the two busiest clubs in the off season, Castleford having brought in 8 new recruits whilst Salford have made 10 new signings, the most of any team.
Tim Lafai, Brodie Croft and Shane Wright are just a few of Salford’s eye-catching new signings from the NRL.
Lafai in particular has made 170 appearances in the NRL and brings a wealth of experience after stints with Canterbury Bulldogs and St. George Illawarra Dragons.

Paul Rowley has also been appointed as the clubs new head coach after the departure of Richard Marshall at the end of last season.
Former England international Kevin Brown has now retired, as has former captain Lee Mossop due to injury.
He will be hoping the new signings can help Salford improve on last seasons underwhelming 11th place finish.
At his Castleford press conference Rowley said “We’re hard working with no shortage of class”.
That ‘class’ has no doubt been boosted by the additions of lifelong fan Ryan Brierley and former player Marc Sneyd.
Sneyd returns to club after a successful period at Hull FC where he won two challenge cups, also winning the Harry Sunderland Trophy for player of the match in both 2016 and 2017 cup finals.

Defining Dates:
Salford start the season at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle as they take on Castleford this Friday.
They also face a trip to Warrington in rivals round on 14 April before hosting 2021 Grand Final runners up Catalans Dragons on Easter Monday to complete the traditional Easter schedule.
Magic Weekend once again returns to St. James’ Park in Newcastle and the Red Devil’s will face former boss Ian Watson’s Huddersfield side in the opening game on Sunday 10 July
Salford will finish the regular season at home to Warrington Wolves in round 27.
