Salford City Council congratulated students across the city on A-Level results day seeing increases in performance across the city.
Across the day, Salford City College Group has announced a year of exceptional A-Level results, with students achieving a 99% pass rate and a marked increase in A* grades, particularly in Science Technology Engineering and Maths (STEM), humanities and creative subjects.

Following the increases and improvements across Salford this year, Councillor Jim Cammell, Lead Member for Children and Young People’s Services said.
“Salford students and the teachers and staff in their schools and colleges deserve high praise for their results.
Cllr. Cammell continued: “I want to commend every student in Salford who has worked hard to achieve their A-level, T-level, and vocational qualifications. Their commitment and perseverance will have opened doors to exciting opportunities and bright futures.
“I also want to thank the dedicated staff in our schools and colleges whose support has been instrumental in helping students reach this milestone.”
The council is dedicated to working with communities to make Salford a place where every child can thrive – starting with a strong foundation in education and lifelong learning.
A key priority in the council’s corporate plan is Salford’s journey toward becoming a child friendly city. Our aim is to ensure children and young people feel safe, supported, and heard, with access to high-quality opportunities to play, learn, and grow.
For students who didn’t receive the results they were hoping for, support and guidance are available to help explore the next steps and find the right path forward.
