SALFORD City will look for revenge on Ilkeston FC after falling to a 2-1 defeat last weekend when both teams meet at Moor Lane this weekend (KO 15:00 GMT) .

Shaping up to be the second encounter in only a matter of seven days between the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League sides, the Ammies will look to bury the hatchet of a 2-1 defeat to Ilkeston FC last weekend.

However, Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley will be hoping their Salford side can keep their momentum going as they seek for a second consecutive win following on from Tuesday nights encounter with Marine, which ended 2-1 to the Class of 92 outfit.

Ilkeston on the other hand will be looking to bounce back to winning ways after their last match didn’t go as expected, falling short at home to Stamford 3-0. Ilkeston, who sit in12th place, have a lot to do.

On the road they have only managed four wins in 16 games, whereas the Ammies have only lost five games at home in 16.

A win for Salford could see the Greater Manchester side claim back the third spot in the league, replacing Darlington 1883. A loss or a draw will not change Salford’s league stance, whereas Ilkeston FC could climb up to 11th, but a loss may result in the side falling to 14th place, depending on results around them.

Jordan Hulme will be in contention for a full 90 minutes as he returned from suspension on Tuesday, whereas Tunji Moses and Scott Burton picked up injuries. Ilkeston FC’s Dexter Atkinson had to pull out of Monday night’s game against Stamford after struggling with sickness, but the player is now fully recovered, in which he is back in strife for a place in Andy Watson’s starting XI against Salford.

Provisional squads:

Salford City FC: J.Lynch, C.Lynch, O’Halloran, Clark, 36, Howson, Dawson, Johnston, Hine, Webber, Allen, Seddon, Gumbs, Mwasile, Dootson.

Ilkeston FC: Hannis, Shaw, Print, Wheatley, Baker, Goddard, Burrows, Rose, Gordon, Udoh, Williams, Atkinson, Morris, Head, Walters, Meakin.
