FRESH out of his victory fight the other night, Anthony Joshua, the current world heavyweight champion is making his way over to the Lowry theatre in Salford Quays to chat about all things him.
The event, which starts at 8pm on May 12th (next Friday), promises to give the fans a chance to listen to Joshua talk about his boxing career so far and personal stories live on stage.
Anthony Joshua, 27, from Watford, the heavyweight champion of the world has also won a gold medal for England in the 2012 Olympics in London and a silver medal for the 2011 World Championships- both in the super-heavyweight category, as well as being recognised for various other achievements.
The event comes just after millions gathered round their television screens on Saturday night to see one of the most anticipated fights of the moment, at Wembley Stadium, between Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko.
Taking the fight to the 11th round, Joshua successfully smashed Klitschko into the ground with several punches, after much anticipation from every viewer who thought the fight could have gone either way.
In recent similar events which have been held at the Lowry fans have been left in dismay after purchasing VIP tickets which promise signed photos and other perks, but the celebrity did not pull through.
Recognised for his humble personality, Joshua will be sure to not disappoint his fans and has even recorded a video for ticket buyers on The Lowry site, promising them a ‘chat’ and has said that he appreciates people for taking the time to come down and see him.
We asked our followers on Twitter whether they were excited about the prospect of a boxing legend coming to the Lowry and were met with a range of mixed reviews- we guess everyone is not a boxing fan?!
