The Enemy’s former lead singer Tom Clarke celebrates 10 years of ‘We’ll live and die in these towns’  

Tom Clarke infamous for his resilient vocals did not disappoint when the ten year anniversary tour of “We’ll live and die in these towns” hit Manchester.

All the iconic songs from the ten year old debut album  including ‘It’s not okay,Pressure,Had Enough’ and the top ten single ‘Away from here ‘featured but with an acoustic twist.

The response from fans was electric, many fans were over singing the lead singer during his performance of ‘This Song’ .The atmosphere was united every fan close together bellowing the lyrics to every song . One fan spoke of how he’d been to every gig ‘The Enemy’ had played in Manchester. He claimed ‘They get better every time’.

The lead singer spoke of how he loves these tours .”I can’t wait to come back and do it all again” Tom revealed that he has been working on some new material which he will showcase on his next tour.

Gorilla, Manchester was filled to capacity at an emotional gig, fans screamed their hearts out when Tom claimed “This is why I love doing these gigs.”

The gig also showcased new talent Sean McGowan who received a warm reception. McGowan’s style mirrors that of Tom Clarke.His truth-telling lyrics talk of how many people feel in everyday life. ‘This was my life’ had fans jumping and dancing. The Southampton born singer has a quirky style that had fans lapping him up.

Sean McGowan will be playing a gig in Manchester on September 8 at Jimmy’s.

A decade may have passed but the strength and popularity of ‘The Enemy’ remains.
