Greater Manchester police have arrested two men aged 28 and 23, on suspicion of attempted murder and two women, aged 30 and 20, on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.
The arrests were made in connection to the shooting which took place in Prestwich, Glebelands Road, on Monday morning. Three men broke into the house of a 49 year-old father of two and shot him in the chest.
He suffered serious but not life threatening injuries and still remains in hospital.

“We are over two weeks on from this truly shocking incident; however we continue to have a team of detectives working tirelessly on this investigation to bring those people responsible to justice.
“I would continue to appeal for anybody with information to please come forward and contact police.”
Police are yet to establish if the man targeted intentionally or there had been a case of mistaken identity.
The incident which happened just a quarter of a mile from the centre of Prestwich village has left residents shocked.
